BrickHouse / Pricing
The Walk is free, the Build ranges are published below, and every quote is fixed in writing before work starts — never hourly. The one number we quote in person is the Inventory’s, at the end of the free Walk, once we’ve seen the operation.
Step zero
30–60 minutes, on your floor or by video.
You show us the operation; we tell you what we see — what’s a process fix, what’s worth a build, and what you shouldn’t spend money on. Nothing is sold on the Walk. If it doesn’t need a build, we’ll tell you that too.
Step one
Fixed price, agreed in writing. Two-week turnaround. Signed by a certified engineering technologist.
A data export, three short interviews, and the signed record of what your operation actually runs on — every tool, script and spreadsheet, who owns each, what breaks if it stops, what the gaps cost per year, and the funding programs you may qualify for. Yours to keep and act on however you like.
Our guarantee
If the Inventory doesn’t put your operation on paper — every system you run, the gaps ranked, and at least one fix worth building — you don’t pay.
Why there’s no number here. Every operation is different — one site or four, records or none, three systems or thirty. We quote the Inventory at the end of the free Walk, once we’ve seen it. Fixed price, in writing, before anything starts. Never hourly.
Step two
Quoted per project, scoped off the Inventory findings. You approve the number before anything gets built. The full range is below, and your Inventory tells us which band you’re in.
Single system
One custom-built system — an alerting layer, a compliance tracker, a job log. Designed around your flow, with data migration, training and 30 days of adoption support.
Connected build
Several systems, built and connected — including to what you already run — with the links documented. The most common engagement.
Full operations build
Multi-site or multi-department. System design, custom components, hardware where it earns its place, phased rollout.
Hardware + software
Sensors, panels and machines wired to software. Scoped against a written spec, fixed price, support optional from day one.
What projects actually cost. The range is wide because the work genuinely varies — every implementation is scoped to your operation, nothing is off the rack. The Inventory tells us what yours needs, and you get a fixed number before anything starts.
For scale
Illustrative, not case studies — we’ll publish real ones as they complete.
~$8,000 · Single system
A 40-person shop with no maintenance records. A custom log built around how they already raise jobs — asset register for the 20 machines that cause most downtime, PM schedules on the critical ones, two training sessions, 30 days of adoption support.
~$22,000 · Connected build
A 90-person service company. Alert routing built with on-call schedules and escalation, wired to their existing dispatch records, three years of job history migrated, rules per shift, training across two teams.
~$48,000 · Full build
A 180-person manufacturer running different systems at each site. Rebuilt around one process — custom integrations between maintenance, scheduling and the ERP, custom components for the steps no tool covered, phased rollout over ten weeks.
Per project · Hardware + software
Sensors, panels and machines wired to software. Scoped against a written spec, fixed price, support optional from day one. We cap these deliberately — if it’s bigger than about $40,000, we’ll say so before you spend a dollar.
Step three
For delivered systems that need a phone number attached. Priced per system, quoted with or after the build — never per user, and never required. Everything we build works without it.
A named person
A named certified engineering technologist who knows your build — not a ticket queue.
Response
A written response commitment on anything in the supported stack, business hours, Eastern.
Upgrades & tuning
Thresholds, routing and configuration adjusted as your operation changes — and upgrades built as you outgrow the first version.
Changes & extras
Anything outside the supported stack is quoted on its own. Nothing is bundled in that you didn’t ask for.
Per system, per month — quoted with or after the build, so there’s never a surprise number. Month to month; stop any time, and everything keeps running, because you own the stack, the data and the documentation.
Honest limits
Because the work genuinely varies. Connecting a cloud platform with a clean API is a different job from a plant where the data sits on a machine controller behind a firewall. Quoting one number would mean overcharging the easy cases to cover the hard ones. The Inventory tells us which you are, and you get your number before you commit.
No. The build is the setup. Support starts once the stack is running — and only if you want it.
It runs month to month — stop any time. You own your stack, your data and your documentation, so everything keeps running; we hand over notes and brief whoever takes over.
No. Every quote is already the honest number — fixed, in writing, and the same whether you negotiate or not. The Walk is free either way.
One conversation, no deck. Describe it in plain language and we will tell you honestly whether it is a tooling fix, a process fix, or something you should not spend money on at all.
